Like...Alaska - Beds

Like...Alaska are a 5 piece band from Newcastle, Australia.
I'd heard their name floating around for a while but had never heard their tunes til a week ago, when they were supporting The Gaslight Anthem.
I know they'd supported Off Minor on their recent Australian tour and so was expecting something of a similar vein. I was greatly suprised to hear a very accomplished folk rock (genres: who needs them?) band that did a great job of holding the crowds attention, especially for a little-known support band.
Shared vocals and a variety of instrumentation (electric, accoustic and lap steel guitar, drums, bass and keys) create something interesting and this 7 song EP will make itself stuck in your CD player for a while.
I, for one, greatly look forward to their full length On Against Want, out soon.
